Gameweek 31 – The Black Stars

Earlier this week, Ghana – with a bucket load of fantasy premier league representatives – put in a great performance against England at Wembley.  So on the return of fantasy premier league which Black Stars will be getting a “ah-kwah-bah” and who will be getting a “mah krow”.

Michael Essien
I once read an interview in FourFourTwo where Michael Essien basically said all he did all day was sleep, go to training, sleep, match, sleep.  The man likes likes his sleep.  That is probably why he is not banging in the goals anymore.  Scoring a solid 3.7 points / game “the bison” is not good value – especially at £6.9million.  WAKE UP MICHAEL.  mah krow.

Asamoah Gyan
Is this guy the coolest footballer ever.  Having played in Serie A, Ligue 1 and now the Premiership, Gyan has banged goals in across Europe.  Even at international level.  He just misses out on the Top 10 strikers on fantasy premier league with 99 points this season.  What makes this impressive is that he didn’t start a home game for Sunderland until November. Gyan will have de-ja vu up against City and; Lescott, Hart, Barry again. But can he recreate his Wembley goal?  Worth a punt.  ah-kwah-bah.

John Mensah
According to his  website, John Mensah is  know as the “rock of gibraltar – the pillar of hercules“.  Not the easiest nickname to call out in a match.  I can’t imagine when Craig Gordon is organising the Sunderland defence for a corner he shouts, “Oi.  Rock of gibraltar – the pillar of hercules, who are you marking?”   Maybe this accounts for his 2.6 points / game average.  To be honest I don’t think the “rock of gibraltar – the pillar of hercules” is such a bad shout for your fantasy premier league team.  At £4.4 million he has 5 bonus points this season and you could do worst.  ah-kwah-bah.
